streamText not working with google-vertex. usageMetadata schema error (_TypeValidationError [AI_TypeValidationError])

When using import { createVertex } from "@ai-sdk/google-vertex" and result.toDataStreamResponse with const result = streamText(...). Getting schema validation errors. Tried all the different models (gemini).

Using the "@ai-sdk/google" implementation seems to work just fine, and when looking at the logs it doesn't have usageMetadata in its candidates.

Error log:

Pretty sure it's at packages/google/src/google-generative-ai-language-model.ts at the chunkSchema definition.
The definition is slightly different than responseSchema with usageMetadata field being nullish instead of optional.
