can not drop files from host to vm machine ,I am using server 2022 and host is ubuntu16 x86.

@avboy1337 What version of open-vm-tools do you have installed on your Ubuntu 16?

Please provide the output of "apt list --installed | grep open-vnm-tools". DnD from host to guest will have problems when using a Wayland client server.

What does the output of the follow show for the session type?
loginctl
loginctl show-session <SESSION_ID> -p Type

Please capture the output of: ps -ef | grep vmtoolsd

If the session type is Wayland, please log out and log back in. Before entering your password using the setting to select and Worg or X11 display setting.
