Total loss of mapping due missing EPG data #296
Comments
I also suffer from this issue. SD will return sometimes no data and delete my guide. |
you may should go for the sources where the glitches happen, alternative, xteve is free and open source ... so "in gods name ...." rewrite it to fit your personal needs, as you have several instances running it may be worth it for you ;)
here on SD you should be able to simple activate the channel again ... |
Thanks for your inputs. I do hope you can see the smiley that I properly should have put behind my last statement. 😅 I honestly think there is a programming malfunction somewhere in xteve. I just had 5 servers that lost all mapping.. Due to a short period where epg data was unavailable at the content provider. I don't check for availability on a regular basis, so when all channels disappear I know what happend, and I can ask the the service provider to reset what ever failed. The problem is that xTeVe does not handle this issue and remap the channels automatically. It just marks all as red, and the mapping is lost? It should definitely default back to the selected mapping with enabled and disabled channels as soon as a working epg dataset is available. |
did you ever come right with this, its an awesome tool but i am having the same issue and it is very time consuming to remap everything again |

If the IPTV provider has a glitch, and the EGP data gets outdated, or there is a glitch in the matrix, so the EPG data is unavailable, all mappings are lost during the nightly update.
Every affected channel goes to RED and is not automatically remapped.
Its not possible to "REMAP" again in any simple way after the EPG data has returned.
Loading a backup does not work?
Updating M3U or EPG does not work?
Only workaround I have found is to delete the M3u, and re-enter it, to remap the channels.
Then you must go through all the double SD / HD channels again..for the 100 time to disable them INDIVIDUALLY
I have numerous systems running, and now all are affected again by a EPG data gate blackout, that has crashed my xTeVe servers everywhere.
If in any way possible, Pease fix this ;O)
Thanks
