"Mark the active line of editor" feature not working on Joplin v3.1.20

The plugin does not work for me on the latest Joplin v3.1.20 (win32, prod).

Based on README there are 2 features:

• Feature 1: Mark the active line of editor in MD Viewer
• Feature 2: Focus the same line in editor when double click MD Viewer

Feature 2 works fine, feature 1 does NOT.

No row highlighting happens in view-only mode when editing the corresponding text section in the write block.
It only highlights text on the view-only side of the MD editor when I double-tap the text.

DevTools Logs: nothing.
HTML elements behavior:
better-markdown-viewer-highlight-line-dark is not added to the view-only side upon editing the row. The HTML class is only added upon double-clicking on the view-only side text section (feature 2).

Background:
I've seen little freezes in the plugin's functionality here and there in previous versions, but the current one completely messed it up.
I'm not confident v3.1.20 broke the plugin though since I wasn't paying much attention to this feature.
I don't remember any updates to Joplin since I started using it in the summer of 2024, so v3.1.20 is probably the culprit.

Joplin: v3.1.20 (prod, win32).
Cursor Sync: v2.1.0

It might interfere with other plugins, so I leave my list of plugins here in case.
