Please describe the enhancement you have in mind and explain what the current shortcomings are?

tatiana_43379 : Workfile: file name validation warning
tatiana_43379: From previous discussion:
Improve the system's handling of badly named workfiles by providing user-friendly error messages. Displaying a warning message or offering guidance on renaming the workfiles can solve this issue. The issue arises when users manually create the workfile, as they are accustomed to doing so, and may inadvertently omit the version in the file name. While the workfile tool itself does not encounter any problems with this, it does generate the workfile and allows for it to be opened. However, the publisher fails to extract the version information from the workfile name.

How would you imagine the implementation of the enhancemenent?
