Welcome to the Blockchain-Powered-eSIM wiki

Blockchain Powered eSIM is leveraging blockchain core components in eSIM infrastructure to allow users to do more than just communicate,

Associating a person to a cryptographic identity in the similar manner a person gets associated to a mobile number for accessing blockchain services at mobile device level with ease of simplicity as any other mobile service.

The future of mobile connectivity?, maybe - maybe not

Let's understand this with learning about features one may/can achieve with this concept:

  • more control on personal information
  • improved telecom protocols using advance cryptography
  • global interoperability
  • cross-industry integration
  • mass adoption in Blockchain and in eSIM
  • resilience and redundant connectivity(have to make sure of this, otherwise it's not worthy, right?)
  • protection against unauthorized commands or unknown sources
  • fraud prevention
  • improve business compliance with regulations
  • automating provisioning of eSIM profiles
  • sharing mobile resources with peers
  • Staking
  • phone mining(i don't think so it's possible, just listed this here if anyone have any idea around this and maybe possible once this layer is established)

We are currently breaking down eSIM code base starting from OpenEUICC's (WIP) eSIM LPA (Local Profile Assistant) implementation for Android, Aiming to improve the current telecom industry by making it more secure and open to everyone, considering all the complexities in mind.
On my way of learning these, I'm making sure that the data packets to be encrypted by our(end users') key if the data is encrypted.
We are seeking guidance from expert or discussions with people of interest.
