Drcom8021x_linux

But i found a better repository: https://github.com/scutclient/scutclient.git . So this repository will not be edited any more.

Todo:

• disconnection detect and reconnect (use systemd.timer?)
• wireless bridge
• balance between wired and wireless network

differ from sunke-github/Drcom8021x_linux

• support command line usage (see drcom8021x --help)
• support install and systemd. (you can use make install and systemctl enable drcom8021x.timer to make drcom8021x run automatically, see below)
• remove useless code and configurations
• refactor the code and make it (maybe) more efficient

Dependencies

• pcap
• clipp

Build and install:

install dependency:

# pcap
apt install libpcap-dev
# clipp
git clone https://github.com/muellan/clipp.git
cd clipp
cmake .
make
sudo make install

Compile this code:

git clone https://github.com/JHees/Drcom8021x_linux_scut.git
cd Drcom8021x_linux_scut
mkdir build
cd build
cmake ..
make

If you like to install in the system path, you need to compile in release:

mkdir build
cd build
cmake -DCMAKE_BUILD_TYPE=Release ..
make
sudo make install

Systemd service

Using the persistent systemd service

Start service immediately:

sudo systemctl start drcom8021x

Start on boot:

sudo systemctl enable drcom8021x
