Road-Classification

clean_road

This is an interesting project which classifies roads into clean or dirty roads. Clean roads are not littered with dirts or plastics but bad or dirty roads contain refuse and any kind of dirt. Interestingly, this model is also able to determine if a broken road(filled with potholes) is a clean or dirty road.

I trained my models severally to determine which will give the best outputs. Again, pretrained models performed well here. This is expected because we had just about 280 images in the dataset. This is too small but the model was able to perform excellently.

I tried to use external data from the web to test the model, it performed well too. This model can be deployed to determine how long a commuter is likely to spend on the road. It can also be used to manage traffic and improve transiting from one place to another.

--The dataset for this project was obtained from kaggle.
