Would you be willing to change the turrets that are used? the turrets that you're using deal 60 brute a shot. And having leaving it as these turrets with also 100% coverage might be a bit much
I'd personally recommend /obj/machinery/porta_turret/syndicate/assault_pod
has 100 hp compared to the 80 of the current, but only deals 20 damage.
Other than that, LGTM
I'd be willing to swap around the turret types, just looking for some extra opinions since I'm not sure how much this ruin should be tuned (potentially giving it more loot). It's intended to not be approachable right away, requiring an explorer to get kitted up and return later with superior gear. |

What Does This PR Do
Takes the crusty old Turreted Outpost and remaps it into the Syndicate Interdiction Platform.
This structure has been given a fresh coat of Syndicate-themed paint and beefed up security to make it more challenging to approach and defeat. In exchange there's also greater reward awaiting those that are successful.
Adds an additional 3 turrets to the exterior. They are now positioned to provide full coverage from all sides - explorers must engage and destroy at least one turret to access the interior.
All the turrets are the newly created
Turret (5.56x45mm)
, which does 40 damage per shot (versus the 60 damage of the previous turrets).Crew changed from 3 melee operatives to 2 melee operatives and 3 gun operatives. They must be dealt with to access the vault. They cannot be bypassed with cheese, as the vault's inner walls are indestructible anti-cheese walls.
The reward has been changed:
Added 1 mixed syndicate depot loot spawner and 1 syndicate depot stechkin spawner.
Replaced WT ammo with stechkin ammo and added an extra box.
Removed riot gear, replaced with nuke toy, nukie plush, and Advanced Medical Kit.
There is also a syndicate soap in the newly added bathroom, and some syndicate smokes on the table. Plus 2 syndicakes.
The ruin is now unique, only one will spawn per round.
Why It's Good For The Game
Old and crusty ruins being updated to modern standards is good.

Visited the location, tested the firing arcs of the turrets and made sure their protective railings didn't intercept bullets.
Shot a bunch of bad guys. Flossed as I stole their limited edition Nukie Plush.
