“Accessibility Conformance Report Tool (ACRT)”
This is browser based standalone application which records accessibility test results from testers.All input data will be stored as JSON &/or html file in local machine which can be shared with others as needed. Information on JSON file can be further manipulated for analytics and reporting purposes as your need.
- Download files to your local machine from repository, default location is Downloads folder. For instruction how to download from GitHub visit Download. Once downloaded, unzip/extract files.
- Refer to ACRT Training Manual inside 'Resources' folder for detail instruction.
- After ACRT is downloaded, unzip/extract files and open index.html (preferred browsers are Firefox, Microsoft Edge, or Google Chrome).
- Select Instruction to view detail instruction manual in accessible pdf file.
- Select 'Create Report' to create or edit test result.
- Select and load either standard template JSON file (TT4 or TT5 JSON file from 'Resources' folder for the first time) or valid custom JSON file (one you created for editing).
- Once filled/edited all required fields, you will see option to save test result.
- To save file changes, select the keyboard shortcut (Alt+z) or Save button located at the bottom of the page.
- File will be saved in your local machine (downloads folder by default) as JSON file, use this for editing or reporting purposes.
- Select 'Accessibility Conformance Report' to view test result you saved (with at least one valid test result). This is read only page, no edit allowded. To save as printer friendly HTML file, select the keyboard shortcut (Alt+s) or Save button located at the bottom of the page.
- You will need test results in both JSON (for editing) and HTML format(user friendly) for future reference.
For all users we are using ACRTGitHubRepository and for Department Of Homeland Security employees who don't have access to GitHub can go to ACRTBitbucketRepository. Bitbucket requires DHS Network and user authentication.
