This is a fork designed for providing continued support for popular versions used by mods.
Many mods do not support newer versions that are still supported by Forge Development LLC. Additionally, Forge has a historical issue with supporting newer Java versions, despite Minecraft supporting them.
This fork seeks to solve both problems, whilst providing better performance and design where possible.
This repository is still being designed, so please pardon any confusion or roughness.
Currently, this fork of Forge does not have any releases, so the latest version from the Forge website remains the best option. Use the existing instructions from the Forge Development team.
MDK installation has not changed, use the existing instructions on our code instead.
MDK downloads require releases, which we do not currently have, so you may need to bodge one.
Note: The MDK has changed substantially from 1.12.x to currently supported versions, so you cannot use the newer documentation.
For Forge development, simply fork and clone this repository, and submit pull requests. See the existing instructions on setting up a workspace.
The old CLA is not applicable to this fork, as we do not (currently) merge upstream. We do have contribution requirements, see CONTRIBUTING.md
