This release includes everything you need to perform the necessary modifications to your Visual Basic 6 IDE in order to fully streamline it.

  • It includes a compiled DLL version of the ModernVB Add-in that must be registered with regsvr32.exe in order for it to be available in the IDE.
  • It includes registry files for settings, custom themes and modern icons for the VB6 IDE.
  • It includes the necessary patches to the native VB6 files to enable all the modifications to work properly.
  • And finally, it includes my personal recommendations of other add-ins that you should consider running in tandem with ModernVB to get the best out of your Visual Basic experience.

Please read all the included text files carefully. They explain everything you need to know to install and operate this software. I have personally tested this release on my machine, but other than that it has received very limited public testing. If you find any issues or have any questions, let me know through the VBForums thread or the Issues tab here in Github.
