Horned Frog

🐸 What's the frog?

The frog in my avatar is a Ceratophrys cornuta, its English common name is Surinam Horned Frog.

🌱 What are the characteristics of Surinam Hormed Frog?

Well, they have the sharpest and longest horns among horned frogs, and their all-black throat is the main distinguishing feature. In addition, they have butterfly-like patterns on the center of their backs.

About 10 ~ 13 cm

  • Where do they live in?

Distributed across vast South America. Likes to live in deciduous forests

  • What do they eat?

Reptiles, amphibians, and large insects (essentially, they'll eat any animal they can fit in their mouths).
