@apthorpe would you mind testing this out? It looks OK to me but I'm not very familiar with CMake. |

@scivision, I've tested this out myself and it seems fine. It actually makes the CMake behaviour more consistent with what happens with Meson, which also does not build the docs by default. I've merged this and released as version 1.1.1 (along with a couple of other small updates to the Github Actions setup). |

I often use Fortran on resource-limited platforms where docs are not necessary. I would like to have the option to avoid building docs even when Ford is present.
For similar reasons, this allows making Zofu self-tests optional (
BUILD_TESTINGis defined TRUE byinclude(CTest))
