I am an Assistant Professor at Mississippi State University, I am a member fo the Canadian Institute of Nuclear Physics (CINP) and the American Physical Society (APS) currently working on Medium Energy Physics (MEPs) although HEPs is more popular (no shade) I want to spread the word on how much Medium Energies can show. At MSU we have a hardware/Analysis oriented research group on the works.
In the past I have contributed to the design constructionand maintenance of three Cherenkov detectors: the HGC at JLab Hall C, the DIRC at JLab Hall D and currently assisting on the hpDIRC to be build at the future Electron Ion Collider (EIC) facility at Brookhaven National Lab; hardware is great but what is data without Analysis?: In the past I helped develop particle identification and background substraction techniques at the Fpi2 experiment at Hall C, and I am among the pioneeres of the probing of nucleon structure through backward-angle (u-channel) scattered observables, materialized in the E1220007 Experiment at JLab Hall C projected for 2028 on the Backward-angle Exclusive pi0 Production above the Resonance Region , a similar project is also on the works for the EIC - contact me if you want to talk about it over some beers 🍻
