UDP Test Harness

Desciption

This application contains a simple communication library that allows the users to send location based information to the server via the UDP protocol.

Quickstart

To install please make sure you have Java version 1.7 and Apache Maven 3.2.3 installed.

Building

To build the application please run the following command from your command line terminal in the project directory.

$ mvn clean install

note: please make sure you all your environmental variables set for Maven properly.

Running

To execute the application please run the following command from your command line terminal in the project directory.

$ java -jar target/udp-1.0-SNAPSHOT.jar

Input

To change the input, for the number of message sets, duration in seconds, and UUID, please edit the TestHarness.java file located in:

$PROJECT_DIR/src/main/java/com/laurencebohannan/interveiw/TestHarness.java

Output

Expected output results of the test will be displayed to the terminal. It will look like the output below:

Listener has been started
Harness has been started
Harness shutdown
Shutting down Listener

Harness location list contained 100 messages sets while the server contained 100 messages sets.
100.0% of messages received.
