Hi, my name is Ernest Kim and I am recent graduate of the University of San Francisco, Masters of Data Science program and employed as an R&D Computer Scientist at one of the national labs.
Most of the students at USF and my co-workers come from the sciences: computer science, math, engineering and various others. However, I earned degrees in Philosophy and Political Science prior to changing careers. Although I have tinkered with computers my entire life, I am writing from that perspective: a little knowledge of computers, a dip in the maths, but mostly from scratch.
