To use the FAD toolkit, you must first install it. This library is created and tested on Python 3.11 on Linux but should work on Python >3.9 and on Windows and macOS as well.

1. Install torch https://pytorch.org/
2. `pip install fadtk`
3. Install [ffmpeg](https://ffmpeg.org/) and [SoX](https://sox.sourceforge.net/) using your system's package manager (e.g. [brew](https://brew.sh/) for macOS, apt for Ubuntu, etc.)

For Windows users: Please make sure ffmpeg and SoX are installed and placed in $PATH.

If you want to use a version of ffmpeg or SoX that's different from the version in $PATH, you can set the `FFMPEG_PATH` and `SOX_PATH` environment variables before running the program.
