The Quick Start below is just for self use, I don't promise it will work well in your environment.

Set up Vundle:
git clone https://github.com/VundleVim/Vundle.vim.git ~/vimfiles/bundle/Vundle.vim

install cscope and universal-ctags
If you want to view code, you may need cscope and ctags support, so install it.
brew install cscope brew tap universal-ctags/universal-ctags brew install --HEAD universal-ctags

generate tags files (optional)
For better c++ coding experience, generate your crttags and win32tags into ~/tags-files dir.

pull config files:
cd ~ git init git remote add origin https://github.com/mzlogin/config-files.git git pull origin master

Install plugins
Start vim, and exec
:PluginInstall

Build YouCompleteMe plugin
Confirm you have
libclang.dylib
, and thenbrew install cmake cd ~/vimfiles/bundle/YouComplete git submodule update --init --recursive ./install.sh --clang-completer --tern-completer --system-libclang

install the newest version of GNU Emacs, global and sbcl
brew install emacs brew install global brew install sbcl

create file /usr/bin/sbcl and change its content to
#!/bin/sh exec /usr/local/bin/sbcl "$@"

copy c++ headers into ~/.emacs.d/cpp-headers

use elpa in Emacs to install plugins below:

The plugin tagbar required universal-ctags, so download it, and put it into YourVimInstallPath/vim80/ directory.

Install plugins
Start vim, and exec

place iconv.dll
The plugin fencview, for file encoding detect and switch, required this dll, so download one and add its path to PATH environment variable.
(You can download iconv.dll I am used here.)

Config YouCompleteMe (optional)
YouCompleteMe slow down Vim startup time obviously in Windows, so I use
:packadd YouCompleteMe
to lazy load.Installation references https://github.com/Valloric/YouCompleteMe#windows, the only difference is don't install YouCompleteMe with Vundle, just clone the source to
%userprofile%\vimfiles\pack\ycm\opt
, and finish the remain steps in offical doc.My install command is
python install.py --clang-completer --tern-completer --msvc=12
.A problem I have met should note here is
CMAKE_C_COMPILER and CMAKE_CXX_COMPILER not found
, I fixed it with add the following two lines beforeproject( YouCompleteMe )
inthird_party/ycmd/cpp/CMakeFile.txt
:SET(CMAKE_C_COMPILER "D:/Program Files (x86)/Microsoft Visual Studio 12.0/VC/bin/cl.exe") SET(CMAKE_CXX_COMPILER "D:/Program Files (x86)/Microsoft Visual Studio 12.0/VC/bin/cl.exe")
Error
no module named concurrent.futures
may occured when:packadd YouCompleteMe
with python 2.7.x,pip install futures
can fix it. -

get GNU Emacs in http://www.gnu.org/software/emacs/.

add "Edit with Emacs" to context menu with .reg file (replace exe file path to yours first):
