It's forked because savonrb has a bug when headers and sessions are combined, and even though we have opened a pull request for a fix on the official repo, it seems that:
Because of that, we are using this fork. Hopefully not for long, as the savon/rconomic duo should be retired from our systems in favor of using E-conomic's shiny new JSON/REST API.

Savon version 2 is available through Rubygems and can be installed via:
$ gem install savon
or add it to your Gemfile like this:
gem 'savon', '~> 2.11.0'
require 'savon'
# create a client for the service
client = Savon.client(wsdl: 'http://service.example.com?wsdl')
client.operations
# => [:find_user, :list_users]
# call the 'findUser' operation
