PDFx is a PDF Creator Application for Windows, which converts ScanTailor output to searchable and structured PDF.
PDFx originally created for Dyuthi Project, and it is being used in production environment to produce all PDF documents available in Dyuthi Digital Repository of Cochin University of Science and Technology. Dyuthi project using many inhouse brewed tools and it's part of our effort to publish them for the benefit of similar projects and a giving back to the community of Open Minds.
PDFx is more useful if you use [ScanTailor] (http://scantailor.sourceforge.net/) in your workflow. PDFx is simple, standalone, efficient and mature enough for any road test.
[PDFx] (https://github.com/nishad/PDFx) is release under GNU GPL v3 (Individual components are provided with own licences). It is developed and supported by Lime Consultants.
Dyuthi Digital Repository of Cochin University of Science and Technology is a digital service of that collects, preserves, and distributes digital material. Repositories are important tools for preserving an organization's legacy; they facilitate digital preservation and scholarly communication.
Dyuthi Project is initiated with the financial assistance by Department of Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR), under the Technology Information Facilitation Programme - TIF091, Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India. The Financial assistance form University Grants Commission (UGC) as major research project (MRP) helps to strengthen the repository by covering more scientific productivity other than PhD theses such as scientific publications, conference E-proceedings, multi media contents, Books, etc.

Just copy the folder, and it is ready to go. PDFx got all dependencies bundled. So you can carry it in your USB Keys or it can peacefully sit in your network drive.
Put your scanTailor project file or processed TIF files inside 'in' folder and run PDFx.cmd, PDFx will automatically create your PDF file with or without OCR inside 'out' folder.
If the input file is a ScanTailor project file, PDFx will do ScanTailoring for you and OCR is optional, which you can choose from the prompt.
