Zwitscher is a Android client for microblogging services. Currently only Twitter and (basic) identi.ca is supported, but support for other services like generic (private) status.net is planned.

Design Goals

• Make it please me :)
• Try to be bandwidth conservative
• Long term goal: make it fully offline-capable

Zwitscher runs on Android version 8 (Froyo) handsets. With > 50% of users on Froyo the gain to support some missing APIs for pre Froyo is not really desirable.
