This PR might not be 100% technically great. I'm more used to Java ;-)
The PR should merely get the discussion about the requirement going.
Basically I would like to create a "clip" to see how my heatmaps developed over time. Therefore I need to create time series of heatmap images. Those would also have to have the same zoom and position. The track data has to get accumulated from day to day, one cannot simply add new tracks to the last heatmap because the older ones have to loose intensity.
The "normal" default behaviour shouldn't break as well.
That's what this PR does - hopefully.
