SMC html2epub converter is a Chrome extension that allows you to easily convert entire web pages or selected content into portable EPUB files. Save your favorite articles, blog posts, or documents in a reader-friendly format with just a few clicks.
- Convert Full Pages: Save the entire content of a webpage as an EPUB.
- Convert Selected Content: Highlight a section of the page and convert only that content.
- Metadata Autofill: Automatically populate title and author fields based on the page's metadata.
- Customizable: Edit the title and author fields before generating the EPUB.
- User-Friendly Interface: Simple, intuitive design for quick and efficient use.
- Clone or download this repository to your local machine.
- Open Chrome and navigate to
chrome://extensions/. - Enable Developer mode (top-right corner).
- Click on Load unpacked and select the folder containing this project.
- Open any webpage you want to save as an EPUB.
- Click on the extension icon in the toolbar.
- Fill in the Title and Author fields if necessary.
- Choose:
- Convert Full Page: Converts the entire webpage.
- Convert Selected Content: Converts only the highlighted portion of the page.
- The EPUB file will be downloaded automatically.
- Save research articles for offline reading.
- Create portable versions of web-based tutorials or documentation.
- Archive blog posts or personal projects in a standardized format.
