What is EmaLink?

EmaLink is a customized version of the original RileyLink (https://getrileylink.org). If you're not familiar with it, RileyLink is a central part of Loop (https://loopkit.github.io/loopdocs), as it facilitates the communication between a compatible insulin pump (Omnipod Eros or Medtronic) and your phone.

I wanted to make it easier for people in Europe to get one, especially since the lockdown, has become a difficult and lengthy process to order one from the US. If you have the chance to get it from the US, please do so, in order to support the original device creators.

What is different from the original?

• Heavily improved battery life with versions that can keep your running up to 9 days between charges
• Improved radio range between EmaLink and Omnipod or Medtronic pumps by using a carefully tuned antenna
• Smaller size versions while still offering up to 3 days between charges
• Micro USB charging port to make it easier to find chargers for your EmaLink
• A case made of TPU that cannot be shattered or broken. Certain case options are splash-proof
• Different shapes, sizes and colors to serve different needs
