This repo is frozen to NDK 15, this makes it not ready prepared for the future. Midterm you will run probably into deprecation issues.

So I want to see if I can make it work to use most recent NDK, to get rid of download NDK 15 for build.
But I run into this

But I'm out of ideas how to solve this.

Do you have an idea how to solve this ?

You told me "the NDK is pinned to 15c for specific reasons due to compatibility issues and bugs introduced with newer NDKs"
I'm interested into this topic and I would be happy, if you told us more details about this. Thank you

The SQLCipher project is still supporting the armeabi architecture as well as SDK versions down to android-14. Support for these older device architectures and APIs has been removed in recent NDK releases. We did just recently try take the first step of bumping the minimum SDK for SQLCipher but we received widespread feedback that it was causing problems for may people. Thus we made the decision to revert back, at least for now. We will likely reevaluate this decision in the future, and at that point we may opt to change the supported NDK.
