Just clone this repository into the appropriate local Vim configuration location for your platform and then create symlinks or source the configurations from there into your home directory.
Clone the repository into your local .vim
directory:
git clone git://github.com/aaronbieber/Vim-Configuration.git ~/.vim
Create symlinks:
ln -s ~/.vim/vimrc ~/.vimrc
ln -s ~/.vim/gvimrc ~/.gvimrc
Clone the repository into your local vimfiles
directory:
git clone git://github.com/aaronbieber/Vim-Configuration.git c:\vim\vimfiles
Create a _vimrc that sources the real one:
so c:\vim\vimfiles\gvimrc
Pathogen bundles are installed as git submodules like so (from the Vim-Configuration root, which is the root of the git repo):
git submodule add http://github.com/rad_vim_hacker/super-vim-plugin.git bundle/super-vim-plugin
git commit -a
git push
When restoring the full outer repo, the bundle repos will be empty. Initialize and update them like this:
git submodule init
git submodule update
That's it!
